Sports Editor / Editor de Desportos

• The successful candidate will report be based at our Luanda offices in Angola.
• Implement an editorial strategy for the relevant sports.
• Monitor the news and data feeds from our suppliers and ensure that the site accurately reflect the news
• Ensure that the site reflects the latest match data, both timeously and accurately
• Create the main spotlight features on the site, with applicable links
• Check the quality of, configure & embed the latest video highlights
• Create News in Pictures galleries
• Help build and manage a team
• Plan monthly, weekly & daily content deliverables
• Liaise with the social media team

Competencies:
• Excellent Portuguese communication skills, both written (traditional dialect) and verbal
• A passion for, and knowledge of, the many disciplines within sport, particularly football
• Good project-management skills
• The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• The ability to work well with people in a team environment
• Attention to detail

Knowledge & Qualifications

• Relevant journalistic qualification
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Good knowledge and understanding of all digital platforms, eg web, mobi and appplications
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of applicable sports
• HTML skills an advantage
