Planning Engineer (Senior / Principal)

PLANNING ENGINEER

Reporting to: Lead Planning Engineer / Project Management

Objectives / Scope: Assist the department in the maintenance of project planning, scheduling reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist the department in the maintenance of the project overall planning requirements.

• Collection and input of overall project schedule data for progress and man-hour expenditure.

• Preparation and issue of planning reports as required by the planning department.

• Assist the department to perform the analysis of project status and the impact of changes in the scope of work.

HS & E Responsibilities:

SENIOR PLANNING ENGINEER

Reporting to: Lead Planning Engineer / Project Management

Objectives / Scope: Assist the Head of Planning / Supervising Planning Engineer in the implementation of project planning, scheduling and reporting and continue to work as part of the planning department.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of the project overall planning requirements.

• Ensure all relevant project procedures are applied as required.

• Maintenance of overall project schedules for progress and man-hour expenditure.

• Preparation and issue of all planning status and the impact of changes in the scope of work and provide recommendations to the project line management.

• Update and maintenance of the Integrated Work Management System, ensuring system integrity at all times.

• Responsible for maintaining the Change Control register and their incorporation into the overall schedule

PRINCIPAL PLANNING ENGINEER

Reporting to: Project Management

• Preparation and issue of all planning status and the impact of changes in the scope of work and provide recommendations to the project line management.

• Update and maintenance of the company integrated management system, ensuring system integrity at all times.

• Responsible for maintaining the Change Control register and their incorporation into the overall schedule.

• Supervision of the project planning personnel.

Qualifications:

• OND / HND qualified

• Higher Level School Education.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills: Competent user of industry standard planning tools / systems.

Experience: Able to demonstrate suitable experience in the field of planning and project controls within the Oil & Gas Industry.

Personal Skills:

• Able to display good communication skills.

• Good “Team” player
