Field Support Leader

Management and administration of the server infrastructure hardware and software;
Perform Web, Application Server systems administration and management tasks including Web, Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat server installations and configuration;
Logical and physical systems design;
Performance tuning, troubleshooting and problem analysis;
Perform proactive monitoring for the entire infrastructure elements;
Perform preventative maintenance for the infrastructure hardware and software;
Collaborate with other leads, developers and architects to create implementation designs, reviews implementation designs of other team members and architects;
Implement technical action plans and project schedules for deployment;
Maintain and improve the performance of enterprise application systems in both the transactional and inquiry only environment;
Ensure compliance with strategic architecture;
Handles the installation of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers for all SITA web infrastructure;
Harden Linux/Apache/PHP installation and setup;
Periodic infrastructure hardware and software maintenance, upgrades & troubleshooting;
Backup of the infrastructure and database data.
Monitor servers’ logs and remedy to critical situations. Report critical situations;
Monitor web traffic and setup of adequate reporting tools;
Ensure that relevant patches and bug fixes from the vendor (Red Hat) are applied in a timely manner;
Ensure that security fixes are applied promptly;
Setup the necessary software tools to secure the servers;
Write various shell scripts to facilitate and automate servers administration Routines;
Monitoring routers and switches;
Participate in design, configuration, implementation, management and Monitor and review firewalls and router logs for illegal/inappropriate activity;
Troubleshoot and resolve various connectivity problems throughout the enterprise;
Support and maintain a WAN Infrastructure based on Cisco's routing platform;
Support and maintain a LAN based on Cisco's switching platform;
Support and maintain all security infrastructure (ASA/IPS/VPN);
Cover all duties listed in DBA Engineer job when required.

Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecom or Business, or equivalent (preferably Computer Science/Engineering) ;
5 years as a systems administrator or equivalent function;
3 Years’ Experience with routing, switching and firewall management within CISCO network infrastructure, Catalyst, Nexus, ASA Firewall and Firepower;
Relevant Technical qualifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCP, CWNA);
Service Desk, ITIL process areas – Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity, Asset Management
Experience in applying ISO27001 and/or ISO27002 frameworks would be a strong asset;
Excellent knowledge of HP, DELL Hardware etc., and Operating Systems, Microsoft, Red Hat etc;
Excellent knowledge of networking technologies and strategies, such as routing, firewalling and segregation;
Experience with firewall configurations, rules, ACLs;
Fluency in Portuguese;
Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal, including advanced business writing skills (will be tested);
Excellent hands-on experience of configuring and administering Cisco, Juniper & Load balancer’s (Big-IP F5);
Excellent hands-on experience of configuring and administering Cisco switching (access, distribution and core) and routing;
Excellent knowledge of Cisco Wireless Lan Controller and Access Points.
