Procurement Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and highly motivated Procurement Engineer to join our construction company in Angola. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for construction projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for project execution. You will work closely with project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all procurement activities align with project requirements and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures for construction projects.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, contractors, and vendors based on their capabilities, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with project managers to determine project-specific procurement requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets and track procurement expenses.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform procurement decisions.
Support the Management Team, Projects Monitoring and Processes.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Civil Engineer; Architect,..).
Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and services.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Fluency in English and Portuguese (both written and verbal)
