The incumbent be working under the general supervision of the Information Management Officer, administers the Embassy’s Local Area Network (LAN), rudimentary assistance with non-Department of State networks, and consular systems, ensuring optimal system performance and operations, providing user support, developing methods to improve system capabilities, and implementing LAN protection systems. Work guidance is provided to this position by the senior computer management position. Position is expected to work independently in running the LAN.

Requisitos
*** Applicants must already have the right to work in Angola to be consider.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
University studies or technical computer training of at least two years is required.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE Two years of progressively responsible work of a computer management program where emphasis is placed on network management is required.
Required Language(s)
Level III English and Level IV Portuguese are required.
Required Job Knowledge:
Good knowledge of LAN Systems operations sufficient to ensure continued operation. Good knowledge of Microsoft products in particular Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 workstation. Good knowledge of Information Technology hardware, software, systems, communication components and cabling is required.
Required Skills :
Must have demonstrated skills in troubleshooting operational problems, resolution of complex hardware and software issues sufficient to ensure continued LAN operations. Ability to explain clearly all issues of LAN administration to post management.
