Head of Quality Assurance and Development (m/f)

We seek an ambitious analytical chemistry with experience as a Lab Technician in the cement industry for working in Angola.

Team workability, readiness to learn and develop as well as expertise in our industry and profound knowledge in English and Portuguese are required.

A willingness to travel and to live abroad is essential.

Your responsibilities:

• Define and implement the quality criteria and standards for cement in compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, as well as legal requirements.
• Ensure comprehensive support and advice on production in all quality issues.
• Lead, motivate, and ensure further development of the subordinate employees and you make decisions on individual personnel actions in the area of your responsibility.
• Responsible for ensuring and coordinating regular product testing and quality control
• Ensure the evaluation and analysis of the relevant quality data and initiate necessary corrective measures in case of differences in coordination with the product manager.
• Support the sale to existing customers and work towards the acquisition of new customers as well.
• Responsible for new product developments and product modifications.
• Technical background for instrument operation, like XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) with calibration theory.
• Responsible for staffing laboratory personnel and ensuring proper training of any personnel that will be involved in sampling and testing.
• Ensure the accuracy of all equipment used in the quality control and assurance functions.

• Degree in analytical chemistry or equal education (focus on inorganics).
• Experience at least 5 years in quarry, cement, or building material analysis.
• Knowledge of cement clinker and cement standards.
• Willing to work abroad in an international team.
• Language skills: English and Portuguese (mandatory)
