Hydraulic Technician – Onshore

The main purpose of the Hydraulic Technician is to report and work under the supervision of the Hydraulic Workshop Foreman on all onshore projectsm;
General refurbishment/repair of all hydraulic components and complete disassembly/test reports;
Inspection of disassembled components to determine suitability for use in line with manufacturers drawings/tolerances;
Cleaning and preparation of components prior to rebuild;
Rebuilt and assist in testing of refurbished units as required;
Be familiar with measuring equipment and the correct handling and storage of workshop fluids and gases;
Be available and flexible in assisting in other company workshops as workloads dictate;
Be responsible for the clean and safe area of work and surrounding workshops;
It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with and follows the Company's Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems to maintain our system certification. The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to the HSE(Q) Department Manager;
The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company policies, procedures, guidelines, control measures, signage and permit conditions and to know what to do in an emergency. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.

Angolan nationality;
Mechanical or Hydraulic apprenticeship. or similar qualification;
Good communication and organisational skills;
Understand and be able to comply with all HSEQ processes;
Experience in Pumps and Motors, including trouble shooting and repair;
Experience in servicing and repair of offshore and marine equipment;
Good leadership skills;
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of the team;
Adaptability in an ever changing environmen.
